Materials: Only the best.
Status Anxiety uses leathers left over from the food industry and sourced only from countries with strict ethical production standards. Their furs and hides are all natural printed cowhides (no snow leopards or cheetahs have been sacrificed for the sack of a hand bag). The grain and colour of every piece is unique and unrepeatable. The Leather is soft but strong (and unlike synthetic materials).
You should know, there’s leather, and then… there’s leather. Status Anxiety prides itself on using premium Italian, French and New Zealand leathers. These leathers cost more to produce but it’s well worth it when compared to the way they wear over time. (No cheapy Asian leathers here).
Caring for your Leather: Make it last, baby!
To preserve your leather piece, Status Anxiety recommends conditioning it with a neutral nourishing leather cream applied directly onto the surface of the leather with a soft colour-free cloth. (Spot testing in an out of view area is recommended before applying over the whole product). Should your leather piece get wet, remove any excess moisture without rubbing, dab with a soft cloth and allow it to dry in a normal temperature – *do not put it near any heat to accelerate the process.*
Status Anxiety leather products take on their own character with time and use. Each piece will age differently but creasing, natural irregularities, softness and subtle battle scars are to be expected and embraced.
To best care for your leather avoid concentrated light and direct heat and contact with non-colourfast denim/garments, water, alcohol and rough surfaces.
